I had absolutely no doubt, during the eighteen years that I had a stuttering problem, that there was a link between my confidence and the speech impediment. At the age of twenty-two I decided to wage war on my stutter, I could no longer accept living life with this most annoying of impediments; it had had such a massive control over me. I hatched a plan which was to fight this war on two fronts, the first of which would be to attempt to formulate a set of stuttering cure techniques and the second of which would be to learn about the best ways to increase ones self-confidence/self esteem.

Well you know this speech therapy that I have been attending over the last few years? Yes. Well it is not working as you can no doubt hear from the way that I am struggling to speak to you.
